Does making a layout or completing an album ever weigh on your mind?
I don't think it's ever happened to me before, I tend to be easy going, using photos that take my fancy at that time. At the end of last year we took our family holiday and since then it has taken me, what feels like forever, to look through all our photos, upload them for printing and then when they arrived sort them into some sort of order to scrap an album. All 500+ of them.
I have made a note not to take so many photographs next time!!
The only thing I was sure of was the 12x12 paper that was to be my first page. Last November Sarah from SJ Crafts sent me some Studio Calico Paper from the yearbook collection to play with and I saved this sheet to use as my holiday itinerary page.
So now with all the memorabilia organised and notes made of the stories to tell.....I think I am just about ready to roll.
I'm look forward to sharing more with you very very soon.
Can't wait - this looks fabulous, and I'm sure the rest of the album will, too :)
ReplyDeleteI like to start with a calendar page of Itinerary page like yous too. What cute embellies you gathered.
ReplyDeleteGreat first page, so looking forward to seeing the rest. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic way to show your holiday itiniery, I might do something similar if I ever get round to finishing scrapping our last Florida trip!
ReplyDeleteWow what a great front page for your album, love how you've included the tickets and the badges from all the places you visited. Can't wait to see how the rest of the album comes together!
ReplyDeleteI love this page with so many fab details on,and I am looking forward for the next pages:D:D
ReplyDeleteFab work:)

Fantastic page Louise, I love all the little bits! It does bother me sometimes all the albums and things I would like to do but don't get to! I think you are pretty organized actually because I am still a few years behind in my photo printing because I take so many lol. I usually print a few hundred at a time too! I look forward to seeing the rest of the album :)
ReplyDeleteThat is the perfect paper for your itinerary! But I do feel you, gathering and sorting trip photos is a bit exhausting. My husband and I are a bit trigger happy with the camera. We can't seem to make it home from a park hike without hundreds of photos...and let us not even mention our vacations this year! Thank you for sharing :) I am excited to see the rest of your album.
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a brilliant idea for a first page! I haven't done the intro for our Florida holiday yet (in 2009) so may have to pinch that idea, if that's OK?
ReplyDeleteI love all those bits on the front page - and with 500 photos to scrap, this is going to be quite an album! Looking forward to seeing it unfold ...
ReplyDeleteThat is a great first page for the album, I can't wait to see the rest x
ReplyDeleteLooks at all those fabulous details - make me want to sit down with your album and explore!
ReplyDeleteI love how this page resembles a calendar in a way. So fun! Thank you so much for your comment on my blog during the Scrap365 blog hop. Make sure you check back in case you win the spot in the Focus-class!

I love all the different details to look at! I can understand you feeling pressured with 500 photos to scrap! I don't feel pressured unless I have a DT deadline or I'm making a gift for a fast approaching occasion! x
